NEW DELHI: Xiaomi is in talks with some state governments to set up handset manufacturing plants in collaboration with contract manufacturer Foxconn as the Chinese smartphone company seeks to
boost production to keep pace with demand. "We are looking to expand capacity and set up more lines and plants. We are proactively looking at it and are working with our partner Foxconn. Currently, discussions are on with different governments," Manu Jain, India head at Xiaomi, told ET.
