Labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya will hold a meeting with a dozen central trade union representatives on July 18 to apprise them of ministry's progress on the unions' 12-point charter of demand. The meeting, which has been scheduled on the onset of the monsoon session of Parliament, is rather seen as an exercise to seek the support for passage of key labour amendment bills lined up by the ministry as not much progress has been made on their demands pending with this government.
