AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat government today announced reduction of Rs 10 in price of LED bulbs distributed to citizens under the Ujala scheme, which was launched in the state a month ago. From
tomorrow onwards, each LED bulb, presently sold at Rs 80 to Rs 85, will be sold at Rs 70 to Rs 75, state Energy Minister Saurabh Patel told reporters here. At present, people are charged Rs 80 if they make cash purchase and Rs 85 if they buy through instalments.
